Lumos helmet turns to HLC for North American distribution

Focused on increasing IBD access to its award-winning Kickstart smart helmet, Lumos has turned to HLC for distribution across North America.

“Our mission is to continue using technology to innovate products that enhance safety for cyclists of all levels,” said Eu-wen Ding, CEO and founder of Lumos. “We’re excited to work with HLC in North America and couldn’t be more satisfied with the partnership.”

Integrating safety features like forward facing lights, hard brake and turn signals into a contemporary and stylish helmet are hallmarks of the Lumos Kickstart helmet. Available in two versions, the Kickstart and Kickstart with MIPS both feature the brands full complement of braking and turning signal safety features. Also available is the more economical Kickstart Lite that simply lights-up to increase rider visibility.

“Rider safety is paramount in today’s distracted driver environment,” says Brian Comley, Product Manager for HLC. “The technology built into the Kickstart helmet allows riders to be more visible, but also more predictable to drivers around you through the use of turn signals and brake lights.”

Inventory of Lumos helmets are landing now in HLC warehouses, both in Canada and in the United States. Additional inventory of helmets as well as replacement handlebar remotes, replacement pads, and spare charging cables will be in stock this fall.
