TEN WAYS TO SELL MORE TRAINERS IN 2023
Looking for ways to move more trainers more quickly? Here are ten quick ideas to get you started—some will be familiar, but there's bound to be something new in here. So dig in!
1. Do a one-week Tacx takeover on your social media.
Hit your customers with 5 days of content exclusively about Tacx. How is it great? Why do you love it? Let everyone know!
2. Dial in your merchandising setup.
Make trainers attractive to customers with good in-store placement, displays, and signage. If you need help with custom POP, we might be able to help!
3. Ask customers to tag your store in posts of their indoor training setups. Then repost their setups!
Engaging with followers on social media is a great way to include them in your shop's story. It's also a great way to showcase products in use.
4. Send an email campaign to customers who bought their first nice bike this year.
Finding people who might be interested in trying indoor cycling is a great way to make sure your marketing is effective.
5. Connect with local riding clubs & teams.
See if their members are looking for a way to keep their season going through the winter (and beyond)!
6. Get shop staff involved with your promotion.
Ask staff to record short videos about their experiences with Tacx trainers. Host a competition to see who can mount a bike on the Flux 2 quickest! Get creative.
7. Always have a working trainer on the floor.
One of the absolute best ways to communicate the value of a smart trainer is to have a great one for them to try in-store.
8. Start a Strava or virtual cycling club.
We don't have to sacrifice the social aspect of cycling just because group rides and races are on hold. Get customers invested in riding indoors with a virtual club!
9. Start a club on Strava or a virtual riding app
Tacx trainers receive great reviews. Don't let that go to waste! Share these reviews in your communications.
10. Promote accessories that go great with trainers.
There are so many quality-of-life upgrades available from Tacx and Garmin—tablet holders, fans, sweat catchers, smart watches... the list goes on. Show them off!
