Doorstep Delivery
Doorstep Delivery is a program offered to retailers whereby HLC will ship orders directly to the end user on behalf of the retailer. Commonly known as drop shipping, direct fulfillment, or retail-to-home delivery, Doorstep Delivery is a simple way to improve your customers’ experience while maximizing your efficiencies as a retailer.
GETTING STARTED
How do I get started using Doorstep Delivery?
- Read and sign the Doorstep Delivery Agreement and return to your rep and/or credit agent.
- *IMPORTANT NOTE* The agreement must be signed by an owner of the business. Customers without a tax certificate on file will not be granted access to this program.
COMPLETE DOORSTEP DELIVERY AGREEMENT - Upon approval for program, allow 24 hours for the website to update and access to be granted.
- HLC recommends that you visit your Doorstep Delivery Preferences page to set up your preferences and default settings.
- Determine how you would like to place your orders and start ordering!
HOW TO ORDER
We offer 4 different ways to place your Doorstep Delivery orders:
- Manual entry on the web store
- File upload from fast order screen
- FTP
- API

PRICING
All Doorstep Delivery orders will receive normal dealer pricing. This means any sales, program discounts, promotions will apply to Doorstep Delivery orders. Whatever you would pay for a stocking order is what you will pay for the same item if shipped using Doorstep Delivery.
SHIPPING
Once an order is flagged as Doorstep Delivery (achieved by changing the delivery address to something other than an address already on file), the Doorstep Delivery shipping terms will apply.
All Doorstep Delivery orders will receive a processing fee of $5. This fee is applied to each order. An order can contain as many items as desired but cannot contain multiple delivery addresses.
Shipping charges are based on the contents of the order and any optional services desired by the retailer

*Items above 100lbs have an extra shipping cost of $90.
Orders will be shipped in non-branded boxes and will contain a packing document with no pricing, just a summary of what is being shipped, your return address, and the delivery address. To download an example of a Doorstep Delivery packing document, click the link below.

FAQs
What is the minimum order amount?
There is no minimum order amount.
How quickly will my order ship?
If placed before 1PM Eastern Time, orders ship same-day, pending credit approval. Some restrictions may apply.
How can I find tracking information for an order I placed
Doorstep Delivery orders may be found in your Order History page just as a regular order would. You may also sign up for a daily summary of all Doorstep Delivery orders including tracking information by visiting your Doorstep Delivery Preferences page.
Can I upgrade my delivery to a faster option?
For this (first) phase of this project, expedited delivery options are not available, but will be offered soon. Reach out customer service for more information.
Do I need a transactional website to use Doorstep Delivery?
No. You could sell a product to a customer over the phone, receive his payment using his online bank services, and simply place the order yourself on HLC webstore, changing the shipping address to your customer’s home address.
Do I need to include the entire HLC product catalog on my website when using the Doorstep Delivery API?
No. You can pick and choose the products you wish to display from our catalogue.
